Garages are typically used to store our cars, tools, and lawn and garden equipment, or as extra storage for items that won’t fit in the house. They also double as workshops for most DIY’ers. Keeping a garage workshop warm during the winter so projects can be completed is always a challenge, and it drives even the most avid of DIY’ers into hibernation mode until the spring.

About two years ago, I decided to skip winter hibernation and use my time more productively. So, I searched around to find alternatives for keeping my garage warm. During my search, I ran across Beacon-Morris garage heaters, and I was intrigued by their versatility. I researched the installation process, read a few reviews, contacted Beacon-Morris technical support (several times) to get more specifics, then I took the leap to purchase and install a Beacon-Morris BRT045N myself in my two-car garage.

I remember when the heater arrived that I was a little skeptical of its slim profile and its ability to truly heat my garage. Well, after two years, I’ve completed an engine replacement, transmission replacement, and various other projects during winter that I most likely would have otherwise abandoned. I’m very happy and impressed with my purchase. This heater has been a phenomenal addition to my garage, and it has functioned flawlessly.

Check out my installation and product review.
